The featured works follow the adventures of Dahlia in a fully digitized society monitored under strict surveillance. It is the height of virtual and augmented reality, and the vast majority has lost touch of the real—the one unmediated by technology.

 

To reconnect with this vision is forbidden, and the plot thickens as one discovers an old polaroid camera and starts taking pictures that reveal the truth unseen. Navigating daily life in this fictional city through scenes in purple and bluish hues as if in perpetual twilight, viewers encounter a plot that may not too be far off in the future. With the tremendous amount of personal information collected by social media today and the unstoppable upgrading of virtual technology, the extent to which users are tracked and profiled and fed with filtered reality may already be foreshadowing the world imagined in the works.
